Default Connecting speed control to motor???

Hey guys, I am quite new to electrics, I have my first foamy on the bench at the moment.

I want to know if its okay to solder the three wires between motor and speed control directly instead of using some type of connector. The manual for the motor says to use the supplied connectors but there werent any!!!!

Speed control is Jeti 18 amp and motor is AXI2208/34

Any help would be much appreciated.

Cheers Ben

Yes, that would be fine. Connectors just make it convienant to disconnect the motor for whatever reason.

If its a brushless, make sure its spinning the right way before you solder it though!!! If not, just reverse any two of the wires. I did the same thing, soldered, then realized I had the motor going to wrong way! DOH!
