Default QQ-Yak 54 102" Generation II

Dear All,

We have listened to you! We have improved and modified our Yak 102" both structurally and cosmetically. Following is the list of things that have been done.

Covering: After problems that we encountered in the second batch of our 102", our OEM has prepared the balsa surfaces to a better quality finish. Also new technique is used to apply the Ultra-cote. The overall quality of the film finish should be outstanding.

Landing Gear: Wider base, New resin therefore less flex.

Canopy: Canopy mounting system is improved. A pin attachment to the rear of the canopy/hatch is added to keep the canopy from vibrating. Canopy frame has been improved and a bead of silicone has been applied at the bottom of the canopy to the plywood. Canopy is tinted blue.

Hinge Slots: To insure minimum gap and full deflection capabilities, we have improved the shaping of the hinge joining area with a sharp V on both fixed and movable surfaces.

New shipment of our second generation Yak 102" will arrive on May 23rd. You can call us at (937) 629-0339 to order yours.

Thank you for being our customers and we make sure to provide you the customer service you deserve.

Kitman,

We have taken care of the customers that have had any issues with their planes and actually contacted us. If you have problem with certain part on your plane that needs to be exchanged or addressed please shoot me an email or give Wayne a call. We do not offer a total exchange program but we will address your problems. I wish I could have my car swapped with the new models Just kidding. Flight perfromance of both planes will be the same.

Bodywerks,

I have the first one of the new generation 102" and I will take pics of some of the parts and post. Plane is not put together yet. I don't expect it to be until first week of June. I still need to get me some parts and Nall is comming.

Thank you,
Reza

I like the idea of the new ones in all white and in the scheme like the 73" yak but I hope the price will remain the same.

This shipment is only QS scheme. I don't think we would have the 73" color scheme on the 102". As far as white goes not in this shipment. Price will be the same as offered right now. We will have white in the next shipment.

Thank you for all your questions and please don't hesitate to give us any suggestions or make any comments in general.

Hi Reza,
I am the Australian Dealer for QQ models, our shipment of 102 and 85 inch models arrives on the 25th of May and we have a lot of customers patiently waiting, if these models fly half as good as my little 72'' one i'm sure they will be very happy.

Here's some pics. I will post more pics as I take the remainder of parts such as canopy, gear,.. out of the box. I just noticed my camera lens was a little dirty. I haven't done the hinges yet just dry fit them for pics.

Thank you,
Reza
