| Father of the Scale Furum ![]() | I know it is not an Extra or Yak, but it was a legend as far as aerobatic planes are concerned. Would it be fun or not? I know it wouldn't be near the performance of a modern bird but still...

| It will fly!!! | The Decathlon is one of my favorite old school planes. I have also always like the Citabaria. I had the chance to get some air time in a Citabaria that my brother used to own, there is nothing like it. With it being a high wing it is a little to stable for some of the rolling maneuvers but all in all, I think that either of the airframes would be a blast.

| What goes up, must come down! ![]() | dude, I LOVE super decathalons. I don't know if you were ever able to watch Bobby Younkin perform in his black and red super Decath before he passed away. BEST routine ever, soooo graceful! I'm getting all worked up just thinking about it. I've done a little 3D with my friend's super cub tow plane, 25% scale with an FPE 52cc on the nose. LOTS of fun. I just love the way old highwing taildraggers look in unusual attitudes. You should definatly build up a 3d Decathalon! -Matt this is not me flying, but you get the idea! piper02.jpgpiper01.jpg |

| Father of the Scale Furum ![]() | I think I will buy a Global or SeaGull and have somebody cut or design a wing for it. I wonder if our friend John at Aerotech can do such a small job?

| What goes up, must come down! ![]() | i know where there's an old Bud Nosen 109" Citabria kit, NIB... I've been threatening to put it together myself, but I was more than intimidated when I opened the box to find a quater scale lumber yard inside... -Matt |

| Bad-ass Super Contributer! ![]() ![]() | Super Decathlons are one of my all time favorite airplanes. I've got many, many hours in the full scale, and my first aerobatic RC model was an EZ .25 size ARF Decathlon. Love both sizes. If anyone were to ever make a version that was IMAC and 3D capable I'd be all over it. The last rc version I owned was the Goldberg, which JayB now has in his hangar. Awesome flying airplane and does some of the best flatspins you've ever seen. |
