| Shaun Price ![]() | I also have a new Yak Video I uploaded my video to http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3qjYhv3Hwjo What can I say... I love my Yak. Yes it is true, this model is unreal and has be so well engineered. What I really like is the lack of pitch coupling which improves all facets of the flight envelope. My setup is: Motor: Hacker A20-22L Prop: APC 10x3.8" Controller: CC25 Battery: 3S TP 1320 AUW: 17oz

| Help - I like helicopters ![]() | Anyone have "porposing" when slowing down for a landing? Mine gets a little funky when trying to slow it down for a landing. If I land it with speed, I can grease it in - but trying to slow it down too much gives me a "plop" style landing. Anyone got some setup ideas? The flying is awesome though! I'm really digging how well it does everything. Thanks Terry |

Alternatively, use a spoileron mix for ultra slow and rock solid harrier landings. Remember to laterally balance your plane first. Also I use 45% elevator/spoileron mix on high rates for harriers.

| What goes up, must come down! ![]() | yeah, or just take the gear off and land like this . . . I'm not running any mixing on this set up. If you have servos that don't servo well, you might experience porposing. Or if you are too tail heavy you might get a touchy elevator. You can notice that mine tends to pitch down a bit at speed, I've got it right at my personal rear CG limit. http://www.flyinggiants.com/gallery/...o=7754&cat=579 |

| Help - I like helicopters ![]() | I'm at about 3.75" back on the CG... so close to tail heavy. The servo setup is great - no slop. It flies great at anything but the slowest speed. I do have a hard time with wing rock on harriers. Normally I've got the elevator-flap mixing on, but turn it off for the harrier. Spoileron mix - this makes the ailerons go up with up elevator? I will have to set this up on the 8U - right now I have the switch up for elev-flap mix (elev up - flaps down), middle for no mix, and down for flaps. I've only popped the flaps down twice & didn't really like it - never tried it on landings. Thanks for the help! Let me know if I should move the batteries forward. I have a 1320, 1500 and a 2000 pack, so the lateral balancing isn't the easiest. There's also more weight below the prop zero line than above. This would be hard to change - the battery might have to go over the wing. |
