I have a 2.6 meter Comp-arf Yak that flies fantastic, knife edge like no tomorrow, rolling circles are smooth and quite easy , 4 pointers are solid, but I am having trouble with Harriers, It wobbles like mad. Is it due to the CG not being aft enough. It is balanced as per the intructions " wings off just behind the tube". Also inverted flat spins are hard to get flat. It sounds like CG problems but I am not sure. Please help!!! Where should the CG actually be if the instructions are not quite right? And how do I make it do stable harriers? Help, help, help |

First thing is first. Fly it. Pull to a 45degree upline, roll to inverted. Relax your inputs(hands off)!!!!! What does it do??? Dive??? Maybe?? No dive??? If it dives, shift a few things back on the CG. Then try again. I know my Carden is on the nose heavy side of things, but inverted flat spins are still FLAT!!!!!! Some A/C will still "wag the wings" in a harrier. No matter what you do, mixing wise, cannot get rid of!!! Just have to be "in tune" with your bird!! ![]() Try that, hopefully, it will help you in your flat spins and somewhat in your hariers!! Chris~

Thank you all for the replies. You have been very helpful! I will try the 45 degree CG test and go from there. I believe my nose is probably not high enough either. It is always a bit nervy to put the nose high when you are first practicing a new maneuver. |

hi... what i do when i do harriers on an plane be it a Yak, Edge or Extra is i set my ailerons as spoilerons(reversed flaps).. but make sure u set it to a minimum! (3-4mm) is enough.. this helps prevent aileron rocking.... DO NOT SET TOO MUCH SPOILERONS AS THEY WOULD IMPEDE AIRFLOW TO YOUR ELEVATORS!!..... just my 2cents worth..have fun...
