| Father of the Scale Furum ![]() | Is it nose heavy? Is it laterally balanced? Is one elevator throwing more that the other?

| Father of the Scale Furum ![]() | Is one elevator moving faster than the other... That's the most neutral plane I have seen.

| Thanks for the Support! ![]() | If I remember you have quite a bit of stuff in that plane with like an 80cc motor? is this the one? I think your plane will be pretty CG sensitive with the added weight. I'd try moving the CG forward a bit. MY KMP YAK needs to be REALLY nose heavy to fly nice. so I wonder if the advertised CG is a bit aft than it needs to be. try moving forward with the CG. I keep testing mine, and now I'm up to adding weight to the nose but I have nothing else to move forward!!

| Bad-ass Super Contributer! ![]() | The weight is around 19 lbs. I haven't checked the incidence yet, but I will be. It was tailheavy at first and I made it more nose heavy which made the plane fly better, I haven't balanced it laterally. The servos seem to be out of synch (5645's) I will check them tonight with the Hitec programmer. No sleepy, the plane your thinking about was with a ZDZ 80, although mine has a 60 it was easy to balance it out. I'll add a tad more nose weight to see if that helps it. I'll post any interesting findings after checking it out some more. Thanks guys ! |

| Thanks for the Support! ![]() | Where are you setting your CG? I'm finding that every one I have read still seems to make these YAKs tail heavy. I'm still trying to get mine dialed in as well.. so far no luck.. flys nice but its not on rails YET. Let me know what you come up with. I'm at around 17.2lbs with a da 50, but still I am starting to actually ADD nose weight. Thanks dude. Keep us posted!

| Tony Quist ![]() | The plane is very cg sensitive. IT will fly very tail heavy but it is not that fun, harriers rock bad and it is a little snappy. I have a DA 50 with KS 1060 pipe, 16 lbs 4 oz. It was 16 even before I put the spinner on it. I am running one 2100 thunderpower lipo on the rx. |

| Rollin', Rollin', and Rollin' ![]() | I have the same plane, and it snaps too. Mine snaps only on high rates. I figured out that it will snap if you dont give enough throttle while turning. If you give very little throttle on turns it will not snap. Thats just what i do. My CG is perfect. not back or front. I have a DA 50 w/ stock muffs.

| I knocked a horse out once. ![]() | 19 pounds dry? That's a bunch! With fuel you're over 20 pounds. Wing loading seems to be an issue. Agree with Tony that CG is pretty critical. Moving the CG forward will help I'd bet, but that isn't going to help pulling out of a down line. The plane doesn't need much elevator either. I'm really curious how your plane came out that heavy? Smoke? Extra batts for smoke? How about some shots of the inside of your plane.Seems like moving the cg will help, but going on a Richard Simmons Deal A Meal looks to be the way I'd head.I've not heard of one coming out that heavy.

| Uncle Jemima To the Rescue! ![]() ![]() | Mine had no wing rock when I had it. Set tail heavy, just behind the wing tube. I would expect it to snap on low rates when you get slow, but what are your high rates set at? If they are anywhere between 15-38 degrees, you are gonna find yourself in the dead zone where the airplane will snap. I read the guys saying they liked thier's nose heavy, but I myself didnt, I preferred it slightly aft.

| Uncle Jemima To the Rescue! ![]() ![]() | He has a 60 on the front Biff, thats where the weight is coming from. Especially if its the ZDZ, it weighs almost as much as the 80.
