| Bad-ass Super Contributer! ![]() | Hi guys, could use some advice here. Am breaking in my DA50 on a H9 extra260 [my first gasser]. While doing that, I want to set up the mixes and trim the plane so I can really enjoy it once the engine is running at peak. So far, based on my limited knowledge, I will need to mix out the rudder coupling [roll and pitch] and have a mix for down elevator to throttle. These I believe need to be left on all the time. What else should I do or focus on? Thanks guys |

| Bad-ass Super Contributer! ![]() | Hi there, I used to have the same plane and never had to mix anything. It needs very little adjustment in knife edges that I didn't have to set a mix for it. Normally mixes such as pitch/roll are always left on.

| In The Box ![]() | I wouldn't do any mixing until it flys. Put in some Expo to start and the required throws. Make sure everything is going the right direction, range check and fly. If your in dought have an experienced pilot take it up the first time. Then start the trimming process. Have fun! Dan |

| Harrier Huckin ![]() | Also, for most all my maidens i use tripple rates on 1 switch. On Low rates i use 30% of max with +50% expo Med i use 45% of max rates and 0% expo. High rates 3D 140% and -50% expo. Remember this is just my starting points for maidens. Hope it helps. |

| Bad-ass Super Contributer! ![]() | Guys thanks a lot for the avice and tips. I have flown it once only (weather hasn't been good), but havent't yet put it through its paces. Am happy to hear it needs almost no mixing. Mine is about 16lbs fuelled up, but it felt nice and floaty in the air compared to anything else I have flown. At 14.3lbs i can imagine it would be a feather and awesome to fly around. Thanks again guys. |
