| Starting Second Childhood ! ![]() | Hi Folks; Looking for some data on flying fields and or clubs in the Punta Gorda, FL. area. I'll be moving down there in the fall, along with my small fleet of electrics and a new friend that I'm going to want a mentor to get me up to speed on. A GP Ultimate 160. I've never flown a power plane before so I'd like to start off with a little help Thanks in advance! Bob P |

| GPutt33 ![]() | Hi RMFlyFish - If you try this is should get you started with some info. This is a link to Bill Lee's AMA Club Locator. http://www.ama-dist-8.org/Clubs/Locator.php . I typed in a zip code of 33950 and a 25 mile radius and it came up with 8 AMA Clubs. If you see " Link to GPS and Aerial Photos " in the upper right of the results that is some of my data that I'm piggy backing onto Bill's contact data. Mine will show you where the field is located using Sat Images as well as providing you coordinates to the field if you have a GPS. Hope you have a great move. Later, Gregg

| Bad-ass Super Contributer! ![]() | I believe there's a field or 2 in the Port Charlotte/Punta Gorda area. My field is just down in the road in North Cape Coral. Here's the website: http://www.rseahawks.org/ ![]() |

| Starting Second Childhood ! ![]() | Well thank you to both of you for your replys. Greg, that link was just what I was looking for... and Abram, I had just run across your clubs web site recently, it looks like a wonderful place to fly! I'm sure I'll try out several as soon as I get settled in down there. Do many folks fly electrics down there. It seems I see a lot of 1/4 scale and larger. Thats not a problem as I have the new Ulti in the box, but I'd sure like some help and guidance with it, as I've certainly never flown anything near that big... Lots of new technology to learn about! Look forward to meeting you both at some point. Happy trails BP |
