| Super Contributer ![]() | You're not alone! Not afraid to admit I can't hover for more than 5 or 10 seconds without "falling out". I've got a ucando .46 and twist (no giant scale stuff yet) and I practice hard with those. Hang in there!! It'll come together one day... I notice improvement every time I go out to the field. It just takes a whole lot of burning fuel and stick time. - Wayne |

| Bad-ass Super Contributer! ![]() | Don't get frustrated. We've all been there..... The biggest thing is that you're having fun and being safe. What's messing with you in a hover? Maybe someone on here can help.

| Flyin' Around ![]() | I can't hover either, not even on the sim! What really su&*$ is I watch my youngest son knife edge the field at low levels, hover at 20 feet, do rolling circles and he has been flying 3 months. My oldest son went up for the first time 2 weeks ago and the instructor never took it from him. He took off, flew 10 minutes and landed (greased it I may add). The instructor cut the cord saying "what does he need me for"? He has about 25 flights since and is starting to fly some aerobatics now. Through all this I still have trouble flying inverted! Guess I'm just too old ![]() |

| Bad-ass Super Contributer! ![]() | I have had problems too. Never hovered any of my nitro planes, but this may be due to set-up/cg issues. Some planes hover better and easier than others I am told. You might want someone who you know is a good pilot to fly your plane, see if they can hover it, see if they have any recs on set-up/cg changes. Then just practice, practice, practice. Just yesterday I was able to finally hover the electric foamy I have for 10-15 seconds and felt better with timely corrections.

| Runs with scissors ![]() | the last plane i had would hover but not for long as well its lots of practice. i crashed it tho and have been out any thing to fly for about a month now looks like at-least another month before any thing. is not easy to hover smaller planes they got a tendisy to snap out compared to giant that big enough that they don't. |

| www.freestyle-rc.co.uk ![]() | the problem with me is that i dont fly often enough to be comforatable with the plane to try and hover. Also, my setting up of my planes is rubbish so i would think that even a Pro couldnt do it. I can hover for literally hours on the sim but havent ever got past about 5 seconds due to a low powered motor (bear in mind it was slowly falling at full throtle and was at about 50 feet). Unfortunaly i crahsed the plane after getting cocky and doing it 10 feet off the deck. The plane just fell out and i got disorientated. That was about 10 months ago and have never tried since. Its even more embaraing because ive been flying for 3 years and keep crashing due to motor cuts on landings and pilot errors. ![]() SO YOU ARE NOT ALONE.
