can my evolvolution .46 spin a 12by6 prop??

I just got a twist, with a evolution .46 on it, my question is, will it spin a 12by6 prop(meaning, is it good for 3d)

im not sure wat size, but i know that you want, less pitch and more length on the prop(if im correct). llok in the manual. it should say the prop choices, maybe a 12x6
should work.

I would guess that 12x6 would be more suited to a 60 size engine. For 3D on an evolution 46, i would recommend an APC 12x4 or an APC 12.25x3.75

try a 12.25 by 3.75 apc prop, that is the absolute best prop for that engine. the 12 6 you will not be happy with. My engine did not like that prop at all. with the apc i was able to get better spool up, better torque and i was able to tune it very well. a 12 6 will suck for 3d

I concur, i have a 12.25.x3.75 on an o.s. .46ax better than any prop i have used on that eng.

if your looking for pure 3d id say that youll wanna go with the larger diameter smaller pitch. it will give you more air over your surfaces at slower speeds which is what you want for 3d

more pitch more speed 11.5 would give you both But the plane will want to move at idle. This is the set up I like. I run 12.6 on a sato fa82 on a funtana 40 4.5lbs it rolls at idle would like to lower the pitch when i am more confident 3d right now the 12.6 saves my butt.

To be honest I like an APC 12 4, the 12.25 X 3.75 just doesn't spool up for me. I've run nothing but 12 4 sport props since I tried one.
