Hi All, How do you run your antenna's in the YAK? It shouldn't run parallel to the servoleads/steel rudder cables. But on the pictures I don't see the antenna wires. By the way, I have two receivers...... double the fun . (From ACT in diversity mode)regards Maarten ================================================== ====== Specs: ZDZ100NG, 27x10 PT carbon prop, 3W MS canisters, Krumscheid X manifold HS5955 all around, ActX05 on the gas 2 receivers (ACT) with 2 batterypacks GP2000mAh NiMh 30 Amp safetyswitch for the 2 packs |

If you run them far enough away from the cables and extensions there will be no problem. I mean, 2 inches is plenty. I just ran mine through a tube up in the turtledeck and have been doing that for years - never a problem. For dual receivers, do one on the left and one on the right side. Back in the day, guys would run one of the antennas down the length of one of the wing panels and the other one down the fuse, but I don't think it's necessary with today's equipment.

Use a good 'ol whip antenna. It turns your aerial 90 degrees to the rest of your cables and laeds that way. Of course dont put the two whip aeirals too close to each other or they could cause rnage issues. |

I use the tubes like the guy above this post too, they work great and keep the antenna wires nice and clean in the airframe.

So does the antenna ever exit the aircraft anywhere or do you just push it in the tube until it doesn't have anymore slack? I usually run my out the bottom and down the underside of the fuse. The inside tube method seems better though, less visible.

| accaptain, You can leave the antenna inside the fuse. or move the tube down, instead of being on the rudder tray, being underneath the rudder tray and pass it through the formers. Then cut a small hole from the bottom or side of the fuse and take the antenna out. Please see attached pic of my 85". I didn't do this on my 102". Hope this helps. Thank you, Reza |

I guess I haven't cleaned it in the last 50-60 flights. Combination of Lawnboy and synthetic oil. I have over 150 flights on her. It's time to retire her |
