If you are running synth and 92 or 97 octane through it like I am (I am on a pipe too), I run mine at a .032.

The spark plug gap is NOT a fixed magic number. Onthe engine in question, aprox .025 is a good all around number but what the hell -screw around with it and see if you find yours runs better or worse at different gaps then - explain why the different gaps make an improvement - or reduce power . don't guess-- explain it . |

no need to study - that is .020" I mentioned .025" .003 " is about the thickness of a piece of your homework paper. so --- close enough but the larger the gap the higher the voltage rise - going beyond .025 will gain you nothing - but try it - sooner or later the spark will fail to jump across the electrode to ground --it will jump somewhere else - bad news -- we tested .015 " to .025 and best we found - about .025 Maximum |
