I saw this thread on another site, but could not find one here. Lets post pictures of your trailer setup for hauling your planes. I just bought a Roadmaster 5x8. Here is a pic, I just got it Monday. I'm getting ready to start my mods. I'll post pictures after the mods are complete as well. |

you guys over the pond are so lucky. we cant even get a truck with a long box. twin/king cab yes but the box is so small, makes it totally useless! The 4x4's in the UK are pussies compared to the big mothers available in the US

Hi Guys - My brother built everything on the inside of this trailer set up from scratch . He has since finished it, but after looking I can't find a recent picture of it. It's able to be plugged into 110 from an outside jack which furnishes power for the trickle chargers, heater, and ac. All wiring in the trailer is ran through some nice tight cable trays. All of the Tx's and planes get charged at the same time with the trickle chargers while in their racks. It also has a remote temp sensor hooked up to a receiver in the house just in case the heater or ac go out on it, it will alarm before it either cooks or freezes everything up (we do get a few extreme swings in the weather here such as 100+ to -40F ). The other thing is a security system with some real obnoxious lights and sirens The floor is setup with tie downs which is where the big birds get to ride. I am quite envious At least when we go to fly-ins together sometimes we make room for a few of my birds in the trailer as well For now I am Home Depots main user of PVC and fittings. The van and rack is how I presently get around, made a few mods after I used it the first trip. Great looking trailers guys I'll add a new pic of my brothers rig when I get the chance to see him next time.
