Default sponsers

Have any of you guys tried to get non-rc corporate sponsorship? I am not a great a pilot but I can manage the usual bag "o" tricks. I am sponsored by my LHS, Kelowna Speedway and Hobby by the way of a discount. This is an awesome sponsorship that gives me more than I can ever return, I do my utmost to be of service and promote Kelowna Speedway and Hobby every chance I can. I would like to attemp to get some other sponsors in order to travel to competitions and promote their business. Any advice based on hard learned lessons?

Default Re: sponsers

go around to these smaller businesses and ask if they would like to sponsor you? then they can give you money for plane items, but you want to make sure that the airplane schem has vinyl graphics of that company on it. I've known a few people doing that and have been succesful. I'm thinkin about it myself.

Its not that easy for bigger name sponsors......they want to know their return......i.e

-3rd party assesement of numbers of people attending events
-TV coverage
-Radio coverage

Also you'll need a professional type package you'll need to submit. From what I've found so far, it really boils down to who do you know to get your foot in the door.

My sponsor program is easy...
I reach into my wallet and "BAMMO" my sponsor pops right out at will,
buys me anything I need....

VISA....

Unfortunately... I can never meet his incredible advertising demands, and Mr. Visa always asks for his money back at the end of each month!

i have over time build a sponsor base of note - industry and non industry related - the industry gives me product support and the other sposors money - i took a while and lots of footwork but my dad was a racing driver for many years and knew the complexeties of raising sponsorship and the biggest thing of all - how to look after your sponsers - its almost a technology - make a decent portfolio and video then you can start. good luck

Dude... I'm retiring my Huggies sponsorship, my son is ALMOST done...
I'll send you the contact!

Plus - Huggies make GREAT receiver wraps!
No vibration, and if you pull a "Conrad" and dump your plane into the lake at triple tree, it absorbs all the moisture!

LOL..
Actually guys.. If you saw the stress that plane went thru it deserved to be in the pond!!!

Full power, Full deflection 3D snaps… and the snap turned into snapping the tail!!! It was an awesome sight! At least i had enough sense to kill the engine before it turned into a hung of metal!
