I just got a Hangar 9 Extra 260 with a ZDZ 40, my first gas plane. My questions is, where do you route the antenna ? The manual doesn't show anything and I don't want to make a mistake ( interference with the ignition). Sorry for the Tard' question. Thanks, RC |

No tube, I even got the flashlight out just to make sure, But if it goes out the back like a glow plane, I'm sure I can figure something out. I don't know why I thought it would be different, RC Last edited by rcdrum; 01-10-2006 at 05:55 PM. |

For a tube, you could just roll up some computer paper really small and tape it so it won't unravel...then glue that to the inside of the fuse at the back. Or, what I do, is i take some Sullivan gold'n rod outter guide tubes and glue those to the inside of the tube.

Here are some pics of the antenna tube. One shows the tube above the radio tray. The other shows the tube exit. The exit is on the left side just below the cutout for the rudder servo used if using a DA 50. The exit almost looks like a black spot. Here is a tip I found. If you are having trouble feeding the antenna through the tube. Use a shop Vac against the exit and use it to pull a piece of string through the tube. Then use the string to pull the antenna through.

Thanks wizard, the holes for the tube are there but not the tube (I bought the plane used). I did find the exit hole, I'm gonna go to the LHS and try to find something I can put in there. Thanks again. RC |
