Default Crappy Day

When I moved into my new shop last year I built a room inside the warehouse to do covering work in. I used 2x4 for the ceiling. The room is 30 ft by 12 ft wide. There is room for storage up top of the roof but I only intended on putting foam up there. Well over the past year I found that I store just about anything up there, includeing other family members crap and the roof was starting to sag.Make a long story short I decided to replace the 2x4 with 2x6 and put in some insulation and an airconditioner.
I started removeing the 2x4 and remember tossing one down at the bottom of the ladder.I saw some nails sticking up and told myself to remember not to step on one. Well I ended up stepping right down on a 3" nail in the middle of my foot.I hopped into the office and got it cleaned up and put a bandade on it, then went back to work. I then managed to drop a 2x4 on my 9 ft glass top table that I use to cut covering on. Shattered that piece of glass. At least all planes are safe as I moved them to the other side of the shop.I decided to quit for the day and go home. Hopefully I can finish it tommorrow.

Mmmm,

Not the right time to go and buy a lottery ticket Tony. Try a cold beer and a cuddle from Mum. Tomorrow can be better you know mate.

Should I get my plane covered somewhere else or are you getting another piece of glass?

Carpentry and model building are basically the same, stick building and sheeting.
Now stepping on a nail is something else.

Unhappy Re: Crappy Day

At least you didn't get one in the forehead, like I did, with a nail gun and it was a 16d framing size nail.
If you haven't had a tetinus shot in the past five years, you might won't to go get one. Besides a nasty infection you could end up with LOCK JAW!!!

Tony it sounds like you have days like I do. Just take care of the foot. We don't want to have to amputate. Have a big cold relaxing drink tonight and tomorrow is a new day.
