Default QQ-Yak 102" GenII New Assembly Manual

Hello,

You can now download the new assembly manual for QQ-Yak 102" at www.qqaircraft.com

All constructive suggestions and comments are welcome and will be incorporated in the next revision.

There are 90 pictures showing the build process with detailed explanation that probably most of pilots at the level of this size plane already know by heart!

It also includes a template that I made for 3W106 and DA100 engine. More engine templates such as BME 110 and ZDZ 100B2 will be added soon.

Plane shown in the manual with exact set up that is described in the manual except for spinner(I used Mejlik spinner and Mejlik Prop when scaling) weighs 25 lbs and 15 oz. One should have no problem to have the plane in 24-25lb with BME110.

With a brand new DA100, Mejlik 27x10 turning 6300 right out of the box, I had out of sight vertical. Litterally one could hold the plane up and I throttle up for a vertical take off!

Landing gear is a big improvement on GenII.

Hope this manual be a help to those who are building the plane now.

Thank you,
Reza

Reza, just got done smoking over your work. GREAT job! You have the ability to use very few words to convey some pretty complex subjects. Sweet work bro!!

Thank you Bob. I really appreciate your comments. I was looking at it myself and found some small mistakes that I will correct soon. I should learn it's not Mejlik it's Mejzlik Also some other minor stuff but hoping this helps some modelers out there. Thank you again.

Well,
I couldn't wait! I fixed the little mistakes that I saw and also I added the can support dimension for 3W 106. Here's the link until qqaircraft.com gets updated.

Reza,

After reading the new 102" manual, I think it is a help in the assembly of our 85" QQ yak even though the dimensions are different. Lots of good info there.

Kevin,

First of all thank you very much for taking time and proofreading the manual. After getting it back from you I added little of this and that and managed to make some grammer and spelling mistake that I found after posting. Some may still be there!

Secondly, please don't hesitate to email me with anything that might be vague in the 85", I will make sure to get back with you ASAP.

Reason I am not editing the 85" manual is that Quique and Wayne are coming with the 86" and have discontinued the 85". I will have to write a brand new manual for the 86" anyways. It's amazing how long it takes to write a manual like the 102" or even the 85".My only hope is this helps out some of the modelers and make their job easier in building.

Thank you for your time,
Reza

Reza,

I am more than happy to help you in any way I can including with the manuals you work on. I have written the manuals for our full size Pitts model 12 kits and know how hard it can be to provide info on a form that others can understand. I think we are on rev. F on the wing manual and still I get an email now and then with suggested changes.

Most is going great with the 85" yak. We won't have it finished before we leave for Oshkosh this weekend so it won't be ready to fly until Mid or late August.

Take care and I'll talk to you soon.

Kevin

Benji,

Enjoy your 85" for now. There is a lot of things you can learn on that 85" and believe me the 85" is a very fun plane to fly.
You are already ahead of game
