Default 35% aviation models yak-54

I just bought mine and have it ready to go into the air, but I have a question. I have a DA 100 on mine and cut only the square out of the bottom of the cowl. That is what I have seen that people have done, but a fellow at the field looked at it and questioned if it had enough cut out for ventilation. Does anyone out there have any answers for me.

Cliff, I have had mine for about 2 yrs, matter of fact it was the first one brought over, That is how I have mine set-up without any problems, on both a DA 100 and then the current 3W 106.

Ample cooling for both engines, I still LOVE to fly mine, most comfortable plane I ever flew.

Chuck
