Hey Benji. The Saito 220 is way overkill, and it would be a big gas guzzler. A gallon of glow fuel would probably last around 5-6 flights. thats about $4-$5 a flight!

Does the Funtana even have enough ground clearance to swing the right prop for the 220?
Not to mention all the wight it will require to get the balance back, the power you gain may be counteracted by the weight you gain. Just a couple thoughts.

I dont think that the 220 would ever work in that plane. Its way too much weight and power.

Power wouldn't be the issue, weight definately would be. I have a Saito 150 in mine and it's pretty heavy. The wings can hold it fine, but it doesn't fly light, by any stretch of the imagination. I can tell it's heavier than I would like when I try to do high alpha maneuvers, HA knife edge isn't affected, upright is.

Benji,
I'm really surprised your YS-140 dosn't do the job for you, even at your altitude.

A guy in our club has a H9 Showtime with a YS 110, it flies great. The 110 has PLENTY of power for 3D (hovers at 1/4 throttle with a 16 x 6 apc), and still flies as light as you could want. I think the power will come up some once the engine is completely broken in, and then maybe more if he switches to 30% heli. IMO its a great combination, even though im a saito fan myself. Lots of carb / pump / exhaust issues with the YS so far, but when it runs it RUNS.

Dont even think about it
The engine is too heavy and she might will brek your aircraft in the air
You know flutter and stuf...
DONT DO THAT their are very good engines in the market that weight less than the 220 and have more than enogh power to fly her with extreme 3D

The Showtime probably won't handle that kindda power. There are two flying locally here. one with a Saito 1.25 and another with a YS 1.10. Both have tons of power.
