Default I need help quickly!!!!!!!!

Ok, so i need to put music together and i can't . I need to use 3 songs. One of the songs is from a CD and the other 2 songs are from a IPOD. I've been trying to combine all 3 of the songs into one song, and cut parts off of the songs that i don't want. I need this to be a total of 4 minutes. I tried to use windows movie maker, because i should be able to upload my songs there and cut/mix/combine different songs together but it just doesn't work!
When i click "import audio or music", i go to documents/music/itunes/itunes music then i chose the name of the artist, then there is NO songs under the artists name. Is there supposed to be a special file format or something????????? Don't all of the songs have to be in musicmatch jukebox format???? I really need this by tommorow afternoon.
Thanks for your help!

OMG, you have a mess. WMM isn't the best music mixer, but it will work. Don't do import. Gather all the songs from your ipod into one folder, say on your desktop. If you are trying to take the music off of an audio CD (not an mp3 cd), you will need to rip it to a format acceptable to WMM. Windows Media player can do this.

What are the file formats you are using?

Try going to download.com and downloading a program called goldwave. This is the program I use for mixing music and works really well, I think it will be easire for you to use the WMM.

All you will have to do is compile all your music in 1 folder for easy access to open. Then just open the file and cut the sections you want and paste them into a new file. Use the volume control and fade controls to mess with your transition. There is also a function called mix, you can use this to overlay one piece of music over another. This function takes a bit of trial and error until you get it down.

I have been using this program for about 3 years now mixing music. It worls really great and I have put together a few nice mixes for friends.

If you choose to go this route be my guest and e-mail me any question at Michael.Elder@pgnmail.com I will be more then happy to help you out if I can.

Your primary problem is the Itunes songs.... You cannot run them or edit them with Windows software.
Get your songs in an MP3 format, and you can edit all of them in WMM, Audacity, or several other programs.

well, you go to save it to your desktop and it says "save as" you simply just change the end of it right there, just erase the m4a or whatever and change it to .mp3
