If your going to put 1 servo in each wing.... what you don't want to say is "afforadable" Thats the quick way to: Plane = TOTAL LOSS. One thing about Giant scale planes... Get a deal on the plane, get a deal on a Good motor... NEVER... and I mean NEVER skimp on the servos... or your other two deals will become good deals on a crashed plane. I would say.. even if you have to wait get at very least some HITEC 5945's. But the 5995's would be much better!

Running one servo on a plane that size is not a problem but you have to get some serious torque AND good centering. Cheap will equal expensive in the long run. Either it will cost you the plane or cost you ANOTHER set of servos to get the plane to fly right. The difference between a set of decent and great servos for that plane is maybe $200. Save your money and wait till you can afford great. You will be MUCH happier in the long run and the servos will last you for planes to come. Dan |

Dude, SleepyC has it right.....Never risk an airplane because of cheap servos. I always say to use high torque METAL gear servos......Standard nylon geared servos will get sloppy, and if you have any flutter...the nylon gears will "Go South"....ask me how I know! Blair |
