 |  Snapasaurus restrained and beaten in Woodstock today!!!
I think it was last January or February when Elie approached me and said he had a great idea. After the great success of our impromptu, last minute, 3D fly in last October in Woodstock, CT Elie had decided to plan a huge Huckfest style event for summer 06 at the Woodstock airport. Upon talking to his good friend (and AMA district VP) Andy for support, Andy and Elie decided it was time for the 3D, Warbird, IMAC, Jet, and all other factions to put aside their differences and plan a huge Big Bird Fly-in this August where everyone could spend 3 days enjoying and sharing their differnet styles of flying, airplanes and friendship. The plan was in place and the wheels in motion for a gigantic AMA sponsored fly in After a momentous heat wave in New England, the weekend finally arrived. The heatwave broke and 3 days of perfect, low humididty, mid 80's weather was predicted. As the vans and trailers filled the Woodstock Airport, it looked like the perfect weekend and fly-in was about to take place. No one seemed happier than our good buddy and fellow huckaneer Elie who dreamed this whole thing up. What happened next is almost inexplicable. Over the PA, one of the event coordinators announced that there was to be NO 3D flying over the field! He then pointed to Elie as if to say "this means you, Elie!" Now any of you that know Elie know that he would rip his own heart out of his chest and give it to you if you needed it. This slap in the face was like lighting an M-80 off in his butt!!! Thanks to a few of the of Snap's buddies, this anti 3D officer is still alive. REM, Tony and Bob T were able to wrestle a rampant Elie to the ground and detain him, but it was an ugly sight for sure. Now I know why they call him Snap!! Here are a few pics caught as the whole thing unfolded |

Sleepy, in all honesty I think he would have nuked the guy if he had the means!!!! Alright, so I embelished the story a bit although this is basically what really happened (without the beating of course). Once we got things sorted out, everyone ended up getting along just fine and it was a great day of flying and friends with all aspects of Giant scale present and sharing the sky. Thanks to Elie, Rick, Bob and Tony for the realistic re-enactment of 10:00 AM this fateful Saturday morning Craig See you guys there tomorrow |

Craig Post the pictures after I recovered and gave Bob, rick and Tony a beating.  Anyway Bob please fix that 212 and the flying wires before you hand over the keys of that 52% Pitts to my lawyer, Rick, I can use a spare 41% pitts model 12 and Tony I want your warbird. You guys used what we call excessive force and I have the evidence, thanks Craig for posting the criminal evidence.

Actually, the real truth behind that last photo is we caught Elie flying that uber-sweet piper cub in the backround there... then he said aerobatic airplanes are crap... followed by a "Fly circles forever"... so his beating ensued....

While we are on the subject of beatings... I will have my attendance sheet and will be taking roll-call tommorow morning... Professor Tank-Akbar does not take punishment lightly for those that skip class ....
