Default 3W 55i

My question is this,,,has any one else had any problems with the 3W 55i not wanting to stay running, I can get it to pop on choke, but thats it!!!! We have checked all fuel systems, including the screen in the carb, the reeds seem to be in good shape, but do show alittle wear and tear. Mind you this motor has maybe 10 flights on it! I have no success in getting this thing running, so any help woud be great,Thanks!!!!!

My friend has one in a Aviation Models Yak and has had great luck with it. We just flew it the other day and it started on the 4 flip every time. Very smooth power and great idle.

Idle needle in too far? I had the same problem on a BME 50cc, but riched up the idle & it's running nice now.

first thanks for the response, I have had a chance to fly this motor and ,,,,WOW! lots of power like you said, just that I cant get it going again. I was flying for about 6 to 7 min, when I was in a hover I heard a weird sound, like that motor was going to die, and well it did! So, the motor was running in the air and just quit, so I'm at a loss as too what it is, or even what it could be!!

yes, this was my first thought, well, one of the many!!!!! I actually had a 3W rep too look at the carb, just to see if it was all in order, and he said it all looked ok, but thats not to say that the jets are pluged or something like that. Thanks for the help!!!

Idle screw? I took the idle screw off on my 106. It's running like a beast. Do you even need it?

Sound like a fuel issue to me, you have to have air, fuel and spark, you have air and fuel and spark when the choke is on and you can have an engine run when there is tons of fuel and little air...... if you flip and flip and flip and it isnt getting hydrolocked then maybe fuel is not getting in the engine.

I would also back down both the tunning needle's down to the bottom and back them out maybe 2 turns each.
