Default DA Experts needed!!!

Ok, here's the deal, A new DA 100 in a New AM Extra 260 with 15 flights. The cowling has baffles on the lower lip to get air up and over the cylinders, but I see they cut any air from going towards the stock mufflers. The bottom of the cowling has slots cut for airflow, over twice the exit air as input air. The engine burbles at half throttle and sounds clean at WOT. At about the 5th flight, I leaned the bottom end about an 1/8th turn and have since richened it back..I`m running a NX 27x10 and Lawnboy 32:1.
What I noticed, the left cylinder has a slight...very slight pink hue...barely noticeable...the right cylinder is normal.
Does this indicate lean or not enough airflow?
Will this discoloration go away with time?
Any suggestions would be welcome.....thanks!!

lean the bottom end 1/16 turn and richen the top 1/8 turn. It is normal to get some burble at mid throttle running 32:1

After about 2 gallons go to a different oil that can be mixed at 50:1. I like Penzoil air cooled.

The pink means that it is getting hot, my guess is that is because the top end is lean.

Larry, I think they all get a little pink. If it is running and transitioning fine and you get no sag whatsoever, I bet you are fine. Good luck, Craig

Larry, The pinking is normal. Run your 5 gallons of LBA at 32-1 and go to Amsoil 100-1. Then fly the crap outta it

I would get a temp gun and temp the engine the minute it lands. You would want it in the range of about 80-100C.(176-212F). On my 150 both cylinders temp on landing at about 70C thats with no baffling and DA mufflers

They will all pink up a little. My 150's cylinders are a little pink, and I can never get it to run above 200 no matter what I try.... I even backed that up with a contact probe on the cylinders.

You may want to check your spark plugs. Running on 32:1 they probably won't give you the best indication, but the insulator should be tan to brown, almost like a grocery bag. I wouldn't worry about it unless one plug is brown, and the other is white. Even then, the plugs can still be misleading. They aren't a 100% sure way to tell, but they can help.

Out of curiosity is it the forward cylinder that's pink or the rear one?
