Default 55% Giles 202

Hello Friends,

I am looking for any information regarding the 55% Giles from Wendell Hostetler. Any information from build threads, pictures, or anything on this aircraft would be great. I would like to build one and maybe fly it in the next century or the following one after that. Any information would be great. Thanks so much.

I have the plans for it, but have not started anything as yet. Seems like a very "Solid" build, and could be done lighter, especially if you give the rib templates to someone with a CNC foam cutter and do the panels and tail pieces in foam.

I was going to bash the plane a bit, and make a 50% MX-2, using a Extra-type wing layout in place of the swept Giles wing, and re-doing the tail feathers to match.

Seems a perfect aircraft for a big 240CC twin.

Kris,

How are the plans for this plane? Are they good, readable and detailed? Did you get the laser cut kit or are you just gonna cut them all yourself? When are you gonna start? Please let me know.
