Default garage storage

Just finished installing this great storage system for giant airplanes. It's a 4X4 steel grid attatched to the ceiling joists with heavy cable that loads my 40% Carden Edge and my 37% Godfrey Extra. It uses a a awning crank that lowers the grid to store the planes on and then raises them to the ceiling. Literature says that its capable of holding 200 lbs. As you can see it stores 2 planes nose to tail without the stabs on and there's plenty of room. It might be possible to store 3 smaller planes on it. Company that makes it is called Racor. Costs about $140. Room to walk under it and plenty of room for a car under it, too.

Dr Yankem is there any reason why the muffler stacks are staggered on your Godfrey Xtra ??? But what a great idea for the planes now when they fall they can go straight thru the roof of Phyliss convertible !!! are those racks secured with duct tape ??? Dr. Yankem got his nickname because he is a dentist, i personally gave him this name being a fellow club member, all our members have a nickname don is BIGGD on giants. Dr. Yankem is retired from dentistry as of this week and he wants me to tell all you flyinggiant members that next year at Joe Nall he will be offering a show special to all that attend, if you need a root canal done he will perform this on the flight line while you are flying and also throw in a free cleaning just for letting him fly your plane

Superfly Jay...I wouldn't be talking about planes falling on roofs if I were you. I kinda remember one of yours going through our steel roof on our storage building and opening up a 4 foot hole. Parts of that plane were strewn over 3 counties. Also people were complaining that there were pieces of monokote in their onion soup

Thats a very nice system. I really like how it can hold two planes and some other items. Im 99% sure that its in the sears catalog too. I have also been looking at this single hanger setup from sears. Its alot cheaper but would require a little extra effort... If I was doing this and had the space in my shop I would go with the dual system
