Hello Friends, I just need to know what tip you guys use when the plane is bottom side up in a knife edge, hover, or whenever. I have been using the push the wing technique from Blaine Austin when hovering. I seem to always push the rudder the wrong way when the bottom of the plane is facing me. Is there any easier ways out there? I always seem to get messed up. Any information would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

I practice hard. I think through which way I'm going to use rudder before I fly through the maneuver and it would usually come out right. Now, it's like second nature. I will make a mistake from time to time though.(when I'm just huckin around) I practiced this a lot on the sim. After I learned how to fly rolling circles/loops, I had it down. Hope this helps! 50%

What helped me was to fly the tail when the belly is toward you. Push the rudder in the direction you need the tail to move.

I know its a little different, but same idea, When your upside down and say if your going to half roll out, put the same way rudder as aileron. I don't Know if this is the same, but it helped me no end, and it still is!!!!! Hope this helps Thanks 0llie Last edited by 0llie; 08-19-2006 at 06:55 PM. |

like many here have said in a roll upside down means use same direction rudder as ailerons when right side up use oppisite rudder to ailerons i call it equal rudder or opposit rudder when learning to roll with rudder input dont try to feed in the rudder. When your in the roll add the amount of rudder it would take to knife edge just as your getting to knife edge and let it go after you pass knife edge. You only need to try to learn to feed in the rudder and ele inputs if your doing long slow rolls which you will learn after you have learned your orientation. When hovering looking at belly of plane use the rudder stick to push the tail under the low wing When you hovering canopy side at use the rudder stick to push the nose over the high wing And again like already said fly it on the sim till its easy then fly it on the sim more. |
