I just started thinking about this during the 'flying after school' thread. I've heard from some impressivley stupid people who came up to talk to me while I was flying. Ranging from "land it on that shipping container" to "try hit my brother with it!" and things like "I had one of those..... it was a spitfire..... is yours a spitfire?" (pointing at my parkflyer BIPLANE) Particularly annoying are the kids who insist that they know how to fly them because their brother got one for his 10th birthday but it crashed ( I wonder why???) I once had one try and grab the transmitter outa my hands...... another kid wigged the right stick without warning while I had my thumb on it. Needless to say both were hairy circumstances to be in. Anywho..... Whos got some stories from encounters with spectators to share?? Both good or bad. There must be some good ones around. |

I always get the same three questions.... 1: How high can it go? 2: How fast can it go? 3: How far can it go?

After watching a full pattern sequence including a rolling circle..... "I didn't know you could steer one of those on the ground" "How do you land it?" "What happens if it goes into a nose dive?" My response: "Have you ever seen an ass dive?" Pointing at the elevators...."What do these flaps do?" Patrick |
