Help! Help with Walbro / Quadra 100

Hi all, nice site here. I'm having a problem with my Q100B/Walbro SDC-80 and could use some expert advice.

The motor refuses to throttle back, even with the throttle butterfly closed completely. After having to run the airplane (35% Edge) out of gas to land it, I swapped carbs, which fixed the problem. Now it's starting to do it again with the other carb. I can't figure out how this is happening - both carbs have been torn apart and cleaned and there's nothing out of the ordinary as far as I can tell.

Also, I just picked up a repair kit for the carb, and it has a couple metal disks in it. I'm not sure how to get the disks out of the carb to replace them or what they do. If anyone knows of a website that shows how to rebuild an SDC-80 that would be great. And any ideas on why the motor won't slow down.

Thanks,

Mark

Post Solution to the problem...

It turns out that a high idle and refusal to quit even when the throttle is closed is a symptom of a vacuum leak in the crankcase. There was a bolt plugging a hole in the bottom of the crankcase that was leaking - sealing this up solved the problem.Mark
