PLEASE READ! - General overview - the FG

Hey guys...

This year has been great so far here on the FG..
And the site has expanded quite a bit as of late.

And with the influx of people comes a lot of new guys that might be a bit thrown off by Giants style, and how we as a community opperate here in cyberspace.
(Because we are quite different than a lot of places that exist elsewhere)

And don't get me wrong 99.9% of all posts and members are AWESOME, but there has been a few lately that aren't quite fitting into our style here. And i think its just because the posters are not used to the way we ROLL here on the Giants.
(And I'm not out to point out individual posts or people so please don't!)

SO... as a re-cap.

The Giants is about promoting and sharing the positive points and views of the RC aviation hobby and friendships made through this hobby.

Sharing expierences and thoughts, asking questions and getting honest answers.

AND....Its also about getting your Balloons busted now and then.. but always in a fairly non-hurtful manner.

Giant Style is not about product wars... or product bashing.... Or rumor spreading, or Individual bashing (enough of this exists else where in cyberland, we don't need it here)

Just keep this in mind.

Old members educate the new members!
New members grasp a feel for the Style that the Giants portrait.

Its just more fun to come to a positive place!
And having a positive website lends itself to people posting much more useful information,
and informative threads.

I basically got called "too stupid to adjust a carb" on the "other" big website by a MODERATOR for saying a fuel injected gasser would be great. I know that would never happen here.

Well said Sleepy! FG should, IMO be a place for solid information and none of this soap opera stuff that goes on elsewhere. Please make this a Sticky for all new members to see! I know it took me a while to figure this out, maybe this thread will help others who are just discovering Giant Style.

I don't do a lot of posting but I read a lot of the posts here on FG. I have completely given up the "other" site because of what KrisW mentioned above. Here it about having fun and building friendships.
