Default 74" EXTREME FLIGHT YAK

HEY FELLAS. PLEASE GIVE ME YOUR OPINION ON THE EF YAK SOON TO BE RELEASED. I WANT TO REPLACE MY HANGER 9 25% EDGE WITH IT. I PLAN TO TRANSPLANT THE SAITO 180 FROM THE EDGE INTO THE YAK. WITH A 13 MONTH OLD SON AND PLANS FOR 1 MORE KID, I WILL HAVE TO BE HAPPY WITH THIS PLANE FOR A WHILE. YOUR ADVICE AND OPINIONS ARE APPRECIATED!!!!!!!!

Why are you leaving the Edge? I'm thinking about getting this plane? It seems like a great setup to keep already -- just wondering why you're not happy with it.

I have the 87" EF Yak and its the best plane Ive ever flown in over 20 years..Id say get it..

I dont recall anyone not liking the original 68" Yak and this one is supposed to be even better.

I'M GIVING UP ON THE EDGE BECAUSE IN MY OPINION, IT IS POUNDS OVERWEIGHT COMPARED TO TODAYS NEWEST PLANES. ALSO THE ONE PIECE WING IS A PAIN. I'M NO 3D EXPERT, BUT THIS PLANE IS A WING ROCKER.

I'VE BEEN DROOLING OVER THE AIR WILD 260 ALL SUMMER, BUT WITH A TOTAL PRICE OVER $2000, I JUST CAN'T BRING MYSELF TO SPEND THAT NOW. I HOPE THE EF YAK WILL HAVE SIMILAR PERFORMANCE AND COST LESS THAN HALF. ALL I NEED TO GET IT FLYING IS SERVOS.

well just to wind you all up ive got a 74" Yak, and it flies great! ive got an electric setup, but unfortunatly it blew up on the weekend so no flying for me for a few weeks

heres a rubbish video of its first flight. Ive had about 10 flights and ive really got into the groove of it, its very light and very maneuverable. tracks brilliantly even in wind, but will turn on the spot if needed.

ESC is fried to a crisp, got so hot most of the connections on it are "de-soldered", and on the motor wires, it has got hot enough to tin the inside copper wire on the sillicone motor wires!

Will post pictures when i have sorted things out with Hacker Motor.

Worried about my motor too, hopefully the winds havent melted together.

heres a pic of the front of the plane
