| Hi friends (I hope), Well I'm a new user and I just figured out how to start a thread. My thread is going to be building my P40, because that痴 what turns me on, (what can I say). The coming mounts I will be posting pictures of what I want to do and will appreciate your input, positive or negative but your input. For now just hi and I値l be back later. Jean |

So what P-40 are you looking to do? If you are building it from scratch, remember it was designed for glow (or gas?) and would be WAY over built for electric. Light is KING and you don't need to seal any wood nor worry about fuel proof paint. So what P-40 is it? That's a good starting point!

The electric thing would be pretty neat since you wouldn't have to have an engine/muffler sticking out of the cowling, but it will be expensive. I'm guessing you're looking at $4,000 for that size airplane. Having said that, good luck! This thread should be neat.

Well it about to start, the gluing part that is. The drawing is done the parts are all but done and now I need to start gluing, and I need your help again . I started with gel type CA but I find this very tedious as it's hard to get the glue out of the bottle. So what kind of glue do you suggest.Jean |
