There was a guy on another forun complaining that he ordered and paid for a part two months ago and has yet to receive it, and numerous attempts at emailing or calling have been unsuccessful. I told him it had to be a fluke because I have heard nothing but good about their customer support. Maybe I was wrong?

well here are some facts - me and zivo ordered two 37.5 team sceme yaks - after a month we could not get hold of Sammy via mail or phone - i spoke to a person at the factory and asked about sammy - he told me that he had not heard from him in two weeks - i then pm'd their pilot who we all know and had no response in a week - we have for obvios reason cancelled the order.

we are the dealer in Isreal - we sold a lot of planes - interesting

This thread is going no where. Since when do we at FG start taking heresay from another site and use it to stir up sheeit??? I personally have never met Sammy or dealt with him. I have heard nothing but good things about Aviation Models, except from one or two disgruntled folks. With the amount of business that ANY major company does, there's bound to be a few unhappy customers in the mix. As hard as anybody tries, you just can't please everyone. For every possible unhappy customer there are a thousand happy ones.

One thing we at FG won't accept is for stories to spread on our forums that are mostly heresay or possibly imbellished to the point that the truth would have to be sifted out. Information that you "heard from someone" of someone told you that "Joe said he heard from John that AM didn't deliver something as promised to Jack", is heresay, we just aren't going there.

As for Aviation Models, if I were looking for another airframe, I wouldn't be afraid of sending them my money. I would be 100% confident that I would get the product I ordered.

Any further info you might need from AM, why not try their website, contact them directly, now that's how you get info.

Please don't allow this thread to turn into a bash session, the first post in this thread stated it best, he heard a "startling rumor".

Get your info from the source, not rumors.

I also had problems getting one their Yak's direct, so I ordered from Troy Built Models. It is my understanding from Bill Hatcher that TBM will become the exclusive distributor for Aviation Models and I think that happens Monday 9/18. That would explain why Chief will no longer be carrying the line.
