Default How do you Store yours

After a long day of flight and when you get home. how do you guys store your airplanes till the next day of flying. Hang them from the ceiling, home-made contraption, or just on the ground out of the way. my problem is that now i have 3 50cc+ airplanes and im running out of room even with a 3 car garage. was tryin to get some thoughts how i can get them up and out of the way before i trip or step on one of my babies.

I have a 50cc 30% yak and I hang it from the ceiling.

I use 4 hooks and two ropes. One rope cradles the tail just in front of the elevator and the other rope cradles the nose just in front of the landing gear. It works great.

If you are like me then you will not have that plane flying the next day so make a "deer head" thing out of it

I'm interested to see what everyone does too.... I have my first GS plane at home (35%er) and I am really constrained on space......

Geez man, that is an unbelievably nice trailer.
I am thinking of building a shelving system similar to how your trailer is but against the wall of the garage to where i could store the 3 gassers on top of each other minimizing the floor space taken up

Mikey,

Its a Miles Reed scratch built. My dad had it for 5 seasons and is for sale for $3800. Plus it has shawn Tuckers signiture on the wing. A real gem it is.

I hang my planes up to the rafters of the garage by the prop.
I use a piece of rope that I tie in a loop that goes over the rafter and then around the prop and I can hang my models in a line at the far end of the garage, minimising the space that they take up.
I then nail lenghts of rope accross the rafters, two abreast, and lay the wings on top of them.
It`s amazing how many models you can get in one garage and still have more than enough room to work on others

I have a giant shelf built for my Extra. It sits about 6ft off the ground. Its 28"X96" with 2"X4" for strength, gussets built with 2"X4" with both ends cut at 45%. there is about 20" of space between ceiling and shelf for rudder.... Kinda a paint to put up, but keep the 2yr old daughter from Killing it
