Talking What's the brightest RC thing youv'e done

Just got a laugh today talking to a fellow modeler about stupid things we had done in the past while building planes. I thought about a good thread to put up about bo-bo's gone wrong LOL.......

So it's confession time...........

One time I was working on a wing of a plane and I was gluing spars on with CA. Well...... I was holding the extra "T" pins in the corner of my mouth. Yep you guested it. I pulled some of the used "T" pins from the spars that I had already glued down, and put them in the corner of my mouth. (not thinking that they might has glue still on them)
As I started pulling them out I noticed they were STUCK!!!!! .Yep..........My lips were glued shut .

So let's here your stories. Come on now, It's just us guys. don't be shy.............

I was building my Pitts and a wasp flew in front of me. I instinctivley took my hat off and swatted it, right through the side of the fuse! Lucky I had red, black and white Monokote.

Today actually... I was BSing while flipping the prop on my 150.... Gave it a rather limp-wristed spin, it popped, came around and cracked me on me hand... luckily, no broken fingers... swollen though... and hurts like a beatch! 3 Bladed 28.5x12 Mejzliks are not friendly on fingers. Note to self... dont get complacent when starting large motors...

Man, I don't know where to start....

I built two left wings for a Goldberg Extra...turned out to be a good thing though. A few months after finishing the kit I was loading the wing into my truck when a gust of wind slammed the door on it crushing the left wing tip.

A few years later I was putting an arf together that had a slot in the fuse for the elevator stab and for whatever reason, I hinged the elevators before putting the stab in.

One of my favorites is when I was in a hurry to get a model repaired for the next day. I was really tired and in my haste to finish I incorrectly mixed some 5 minute epoxy ( I used part "A" twice instead of A & B). After sitting there for about 15 minutes wondering why it wasn't starting to set-up the "light bulb" finally came on and I realized what I had done.

I have glued a wing panel to the workbench while repairing it.

Had hobby knife roll off the bench, fall point down and stick in the top of my foot.

While removing the shrink wrap from a li-poly pack, nick one cell with the knife and had it burn on the bench (that is one smell that you will remember).

In my early days (25+ years ago) when I was learning to fly, My flying buddy started the plane and hand launched it we then realized that the receiver wasn't turned on. That plane was in a tree for over a week.

Last week I was launching my sail plane by high-start Just as I was throwing it, a cross wind gust hit and rotated the plane in my hand. The wing hit me in the back of the head the sail plane then turned nose down and hit the ground about 12 feet in front of me. The leading edge on both outboard wing panels now need repaired, one from my head and the other from the ground.

Just a few stories from the years I have been around.

Ok here is one, long time ago I built a Sig King Cobra (.60) glow, the wing has a washout at the tips to help with slow speed and landing, so I assembled the wing upside down with the washout to the bottom so inverted low speed is great but forget about landing that thing, it snaps every time, I am still stuck with that thing.

Hmm..while me and one of my friends were putting together an ARF, he came over and I guess tried to suck my brain out through my skull. I realized later that he had CA on his fingers and it was now in my hair.

A couple of years ago I crashed due to a glitch. It was a long ways away, so I got into the van to go retreve the pieces. I proceded to back up and over another plane that I had put behind the van.
