Holy Cow Batman, I sure hope they brought the BIG tool kit he he. Sad to see a classic like that get beat up. I wonder if it was all inertia that made it go for so long, or if the idiot pilot just didn't get of the gas.

Damm, it doesn't look like there was enough room to land it and he was trying to follow the turn or something and lost it. Lucky he didn't hit any of the people on the beach

Benefit of the doubt. Maybe the pilot passed out and that was a 10 year old kid, Gotta give him props in that case. ![]() It might have been a takeoff gone wrong!? He did have the engines running, not just idling

Wow, What ever happened I bet he needed a change of jocks after that. Sounds like he got power off on one engine before the other but they were both off power by the time he hit the beach. It is always easy to shoot bullets at stuff like this but just maybe he had a prop go bad on him or some power issue as that thing was hooking off to the right as he barrelled into veiw. It appeared to be almost flying as he was well up on the step so I suspect he lost something critical right when he didnīt need it to happen. Could have also been a pond take off gone wrong. Kiwi |

73DRVR, It is called armchair pilots syndrome closely related to couch potatoe disease. Seems even in the flying world we all like to be experts after some poor bugger got dealt a hard hand to play. That video has been a round for years and I have no idea what happened, however if you slow it down you can hear the guy getting off the power on one engine before he pulled the second one. That leads me to think something went South on him power wise when he wanted to go North. Whatever happened it looks like he could probably have got out of it and walked so it was a good landing by my definition regardless. Kiwi | |||||||||||||||
