| Does anyone know where I can get left hand 440 nuts to use as a jam nut. The flying wires on my 42% Ultimate use dubro turnbuckles which has a right hand jam nut on one end, but the left hand side can only be secured by safety wiring it. That becomes a problem if you have to tighten your flying wires. If I can find a left hand 440 jam nut, then it's a simple matter of loosening both nuts and making the adjustment with the turnbuckle and then rejamming the nuts. Jerry |

vtailman...when you say the short wire side, you mean the thread without the nut (left hand thread) is facing the wing, and the jam nut side is facing the cabane ? Are you using blue loctite? BTW this is the opposite of the way the picture of the assembly of the flying wires came with the aeroworks kit. meanwhile I emailed jerry nelson to see if he has any left hand thread 440s. Thanks for the replies |
