| Super Contributer ![]() | Well. I've been wanting to see something other than small video clips of this man for a long time, and Saturday at the Great Georgia Airshow I finally did. All I have to say is; Great Good Jesus, What The Hell?! His maneuvers were lower than most at the Masters freestyle this year. Unbelievable. After watching him, you'll be ashamed of yourself unless you actually make your model touch the ground during everyflight. I'm not, talking about hovering tail touches either. I'm talking about dragging wingtips and tail feathers. |

| see the glass half full ![]() | friends here in st. louis are "buddies" w/ jim, a bunch of us were invited to hold the poles for his ribbon cut. a friend took his video camera out and got the close up flyby, knife edge to opposite knife edge....i wasn't there but they all said it's scary to see him coming at you about 180 and just feet away , , then the tug on the pole as the ribbon goes taught and gets cut. a year or 2 before this year we have video of him doing one too many downline snaps and his tail looks to touch the mississippi river in between 2 bridges, the crowd went crazy but we knew he had gotten too low after rewinding the camera........he's ballsy to say the least !!!!! |

| Super Contributer ![]() | I used to think the sameway. Then I started thinking in terms of being a skateboarder, and skating in front of people. If I think or know that someone is watching I'm only going to do the tricks that I know that I can land. I guess the same goes for when I'm flying my foamie at the park. He isn't going to go out there, with his life and thousands of others lives depending on him to fly safely and do something that he hasn't done countless times before. That being said. He leaves himself without any margin for error a lot of the time, which requires him to be absolutely perfect and as a precise as a surgeon every single time. I can only guess that he treats every time as the first, and leaves nothing to chance, just like every pilot should. Even us, with our models. |

Everything he did(stunts) were right on the deck and he was even torque rolling that Pitts!!! COOL!!! Walked over, after his 1st. show, while he was re-fueling, and got to talk to him, his wife and his son. Real nice people!! If you ever get a chance to see his flying...GO!!!!!!!!!! | Super Contributer ![]() | Hell, he hovers right after takeoff. Then later on he does a hover/stationary harrier while he is talking to the spectators over the PA. I mean, he talking like he is right next to at the dinner table, just a calm and relaxed as can be. Like I said. I've seen all of the video clips, but I was still completely surprised. Oh yeah, that Ultimate looks sick Chirs. |

| THUNK..i meant to do that ![]() | I saw him fly at last years air show. Incredible. Wanted to see a one on one duel between him and Patty. If he's ever there again I'll have to bring the wing I had Patty sign and get him on there too.
