Default Smoke question

I got some brand new Supersonic mufflers without smoke taps.

If I just tap them (knowing there are no coils).....will I still get decent smoke?

Anyone done this on a gasser

Its a 3W106 that I'm looking to do this on.

Thanks

Sorry to send you to another site, but this is a good article and I gained alot of info on how to do these set-ups. They cover gas engines near the bottom.

BME-110 with stock mufflers tapped with 6-32 fitting. You may want nozzles to be smaller than what comes in 6-32 dubro fitting to spray not stream. I will be getting to that soon when the weather warms up a bit.

I have used super dri and this is thick, white, persistant smoke. What is on the picture is practice smoke at under $4 per gallon. It is diesel/kero 75/25 mix. It is not as white and not as dense but works for everyday use.

Put the nozzle on the header portion of the muffler as close to muffle inlet as possible for best heat.

Thanks guys.......I thought it might work as I've done it for glo engines.........I just couldn't see spending another $145 on mufflers when I have a brand new set sitting in front of me.
