| GPutt33 ![]() | Hi guys - I was just wondering if some of you folks from around Cincinatti could tell me if this is the Ross Area Flyers Club and Field? The location was sent to me by someone on Google Earth, but is not a member, just likes to watch folks fly at this location. I did a search using Bill Lee's AMA Club Locator and the only thing I could come up with was possibly the Ross Area Flyers. Let me know if you can and Thanks Here is a link that will show you where I'm talking about: http://maps.google.com/maps?f=q&hl=e...16909&t=k&om=1

| NCFR Rocks (even from here!) ![]() | Hmmm.... it does a bit, but isn't where the houses are in the upper left corner where the old Hamilton field would have been? and the RC car track?

| Bad-ass Super Contributer! ![]() | Ross is more out in the sticks and does not have a paved runway (unless more recently done). Ross would be close to the intersection of 128 and east miami river road just to the east of ross. Small access road in to a grass strip along a corn field (usually corn). Windecker |

| GPutt33 ![]() | Hi Guys - thanks for all of the help I think I'm going to go with the Silent Flyers as being at this location. They were my second choice due to where they showed up in my original search. I have HAWKS field pretty well located I think, and your right, looks like a great field This shows where I have it located.http://maps.google.com/maps?f=q&hl=e...m=1&iwloc=addr Now if I could figure out where Ross is. I went to Ross in Google Earth, and tried to find an intersection between 128 and East Miami and can only find where E Miami X's 126. It kind of looks like 128 parallels E Miami, just on opposite sides of the river. I did find one area that looks like a Grass Field to me, let me know what you think and if it is Ross it is right off of a road that links 128 to Miami. It just has the Field LOOK to it from the air like this. http://maps.google.com/maps?f=q&hl=e...m=1&iwloc=addr I would love to come out and fly in that whole area again (I lived in Findlay Oh for just over 5 years and belonged to the Flying Circuits club up there). I have since got my transfer back home to Wyoming, so I'll take a rain check on the invitation though ![]()

| NCFR Rocks (even from here!) ![]() | Yep...that is Hawks, but actually they have moved the field to the area in the upper right... the line of trees just north of the field you show is now a road

| Bad-ass Super Contributer! ![]() | GPut33 The grass location between E miami and 128 is it!! You found it. Sorry about the road name error, I thought that E miami turned there and went to 128 Not sure where your coiming from but there is a gas station on the corner in Ross by 128 and Colerain ave, there is a light there also. You would go East on what looks like Colerain and the field will be on the right before you go over the river. Not sure if there is a sign or anything but from what I remember you can see it from the street. On of the members e mail addresses is: Jackis65@hotmail.com Might also be jackes65@hotmail.com If you can't get hooked up with him or someone else, reply here again and I will get more numbers for you. I have never flown there, not sure what kind of facility it is. Best wishes and happy flying. Windecker |
