I would set up a mix between the slider switch channel and the throttle and set it up for the range of movement you want out of it. Should work great if you set it up right.

I know it already has a throttle trim, I thought it might be able to be changed to one of the side levers. To set an idle up, I use aux 4 to throttle, and in the DEV menu I set aux 4 to elev rate switch and set the percentage on the aux 4 to thro mix if that makes sense.

Tony, mix a throttle to throttle mix and assign it to a switch like your aux 2 switch then bump up the percentage. I also put my idle/down elevator mix on the same switch.

A slider can't be directly used in place of the throttle trim, however you can set up a program mix to make the slider adjust the throttle channel. To do so, mix either LLVR or RLVR to throttle and set the rates as desired.

I hope this helps

You can do it. But be very careful how you do it. I experimented on the Sim with this using the left slider. In the end it seemed better to use the throttle curve but this was only for my situation.
