 |  A 260 is born
I am finishing a Extra 260 that was built by Jim Terell in TX. The plane came unfinished and stright as an arrow. Jim builds very light wings, foam ribs covered with 1/32 balsa. It has a DA 100, 8611 all around weighs 25.3 pounds.

i dunno know if you know this people, but this guy is probably the greatest builders right now, i mean to actually see him at work with these planes, i mean wow it's amazing. All pieces are cut from scratch and the performance is amazing. It's sad to say though that he was only going to make a few of these, so you my friend are very lucky you have one.

I would have to agree here. There has to be some misunderstanding along the line. I'm fairly sure this airplane is a spin-off from the old PMP 260 that used the same construction for the wings. They used 3/32" sheeting as I am sure this one does too. Shawn | ||||||||||||||||||

I'm friends with Jim and saw him building the wings, they are sheeted with 3/32". Also, one of the reasons his planes are soo light is because he's extremely particular about every piece of wood he glues to the plane. For instance, each sheet on the wings was weighted to make sure it was within the correct weight range before he used it on the wing.
