Donate blood!

i went to donate blood recently, since i work in the medical field i believe it is an important thing for all of to do. well, it turns out that since i lived in germany in the early eighties for more than six months there are worried about creutzfeldt-jakob disease aka madcow and no longer want my blood. i promised them that i was neither mad nor a cow, but they insisted. no more needle sticks for me.

I have donated blood already 4 or 5 times and I am going to do this in the future!! Recently blood has saved my friend and I know that I can be in the same situation as he was.

i'm all for it. i've given blood many times in the past. it's usually good for a free cookie and some juice. and when i was in the air force we decided to experiment to see if you get drunker faster with less blood since the percentage will technically be higher. i don't actually drink, but my friends drank enough to make the experiment pointless. they would've been trashed either regardless of the amount of blood they had. anyways, the red cross just doesn't want my blood. MAD COW!!!!

i appreciate everyone that donates blood, had open heart surgery a few months ago and had to take 7 units of blood during the surgery. thanks to all of you who donate
