Yes I admit it, I am a scifi junkie. Have been for as long as I can remember and I don't care who knows it!

So, Battlestar Galactica is back on in full force. Not the original, but Scifi's reimagined version. It has been (and is) a fantastic show from the start, and going into its final season it looks like we are in for a great ride. Its funny how in these past two episodes my interest has shifted gear from what is going on with Galactica to what is going on with the cylons. I mean, that was just bad ass when they centurions let rip on their own kind - awesome!

I bit the bullett and bought a new laptop to replace my ailing Inspiron 2200. I went with Dell again and picked up a loaded 1525.

This is the first computer I've had with Vista as the operating system. At first it was all "oooo's" and "ahhh's" with the cool aero interface, animated program toggling back and forth, etc... but this soon gave way to frustration. Is it just me is Vista like much slower than XP? Just simple tasks like browsing folders with thumbnails seems to take longer, or even opening up windows explorer!

This is going to take some getting used to.......

Well I've been waiting for an excuse to try out 2.4 on my airplanes and with the introduction of a second flight line at Joe Nall this year I now have my excuse .

I picked up the Spektrum module and AR9000 receiver for my 9303, and an additional remote receiver. I tucked one remote receiver way back in the tail of my 33% Edge, and the other remote receiver up on a mast that reaches straight up into the cockpit area.

The first thing I noticed, and the only complaint I have, is that I have to be real careful about laying the transmitter down with the Spektrum module...

So my Wife is on her way to work at 5:30am this morning during a winter weather advisory. There was freezing rain and ice everywhere. With this in mind she is driving a little slower (40 in a 50, two lanes). Anyhow, behind her a truck and a car pull right up to her and stay there for short while. The car passes her and speeds off and then the truck passes her. But the truck then gets in front of her and slams on his breaks, then speeds up and keeps tapping his breaks right in front of her before taking off at a ridiculous speed (way over the limit).

I just dont get this behaviour,...

Anyone seen this yet? A few friends went to see it and said it was really good, I'm planning on going to see it tonight. Judging from the trailers it should be a good flick!
