Wow.....life throws you curve balls.....

So...I grew up here in Michigan... but moved away in 85 when I graduated from High school......
never my favorite place....
Went to School in Colorado (CU) then lived in Steamboat for a few years, then moved to Southern CA..
San Diego area....
Then moved (work move) to Chicago.
The Cliche fits....nice place to visit, but I wouldn't want to live there...
Don't get me wrong. I met some great friends there.....and found my wife...she's the best!
I then dragged her back out to Colorado (Conifer (up in the mts outside Denver))
Then when our little boy (not so little anymore) was born, we knew it was important to be with family..
So Back to Michigan we go.
Close to my parents.. a quick trip to my wifes parents.,......
Well... it appears it is time to move on again.
Jen (my wife) just accepted (after a few sleepless nights by both of us) a great job/opportunity with her company.
But the Job is in Atlanta...so
it looks like in the next 2 to 3 months (exact timeline isn't set yet) we are moving to Atlanta....
Remember when I said earlier that Mi was never my favorite place? Welll.......no I am settled in with great friends.. I LOVE flying in the NC region (IMAC) Tristan is in an excellent school... I like my job, and I enjoy seeing my Parents.....
So...another chapter is about to open...
More to follow

| | Curtis, your not going to be competing in the NC Region next year ? Ummmm, there is one LIL Fella here that is NOT going to be happy ! Curtis, I know things were close with you and Brendan all year competing, you really pushed him to strive and do the best he could do, he had to because you were always chewing at his heels. You really made a difference in Brendans flying this year whether you know it or not, he was really looking forward to you moving up with him next year and being there with him, its not going to be the same without you there ! You will be greatly missed buddy. Promise me one thing....that you will come up and visit with Bren and me and stay some weekend and fly with him, you got a place to stay right here with us ! |

| | Curtis, This sucks!!! I was looking forward to going out next year and doing some flying but it looks like I will have to do this at the Joe Nall and SEFF next year. I can imagine that the decision was not an easy one. Congrats on this. Andrew |

| | Congratulations to both of you Curtis, but I have to admit that I am quite bummed that you won't be flying with us in the North Central anymore. I wish nothing but the best for all of you and, like Dan mentioned, we would love nothing more than for you to visit from time to time--and you know that if Dan doesn't have room for you--we do. |

| | Thanks guys!! It really is appreciated... the NC region is one thing that made this so tough... I just love my new NCFR Family... The move will be sometime around Dec or Jan... great time to move eh?? So I still have a couple contests and TAS on my plate.... then I have to find a field in North Atlanta!! |

| | Oh my.....this is totally unacceptable. It is against NCFR rules to move away. We will certainly miss you but wish you well with the move. Cincy is just about a 7 hour drive from Atlanta area, so not bad. You need to hook up with Wayne Matthews of Sew Busy. He can hook you up with a flying field in that area. |

| | Curtis, Sorry to hear that (getting out of the NCFR), but also happy to hear it! Kinda will stink not having you around in the NCFR next year! You will definitely have to come up at least once and fly with us! You would have a place to stay with us too! Maybe we could just have a fly-in somewhere around here and have a ball! Thanks for calling for me at Cinci this year! Hope all goes well with your new home! Seth |

| | Welcome to the southeast. I lived in the mid west for a while growing up, but mostly grew up in the NE. I moved to North Carolina 4 years ago and will not go back the NE. We fly 11+ months a year and have some really good IMAC events down here. |
