We're off to the XFC!

In just a bit over 12 hours my dad and I will be on the road to XFC! Planning to get there late, go right to sleep, and be at the field for the qualifier early Thursday morning.
This hasn't been an easy road preparing for XFC. My last blog outlines the early issues. On the second test-flight after the repair, engine power dropped to idle and wouldnt advance. I landed, and after some inspection found that the crash broke the prop hub woodruff key and in the air the prop hub rotated around the shaft. We built a rig to pull the prop hub off and did so. I luckily managed to find the only 2mm woodruff keys in the state, and with some advice from Gerhard at Aircraft International, re-installed the prop hub. We won't be able to run the motor till tomorrow morning or maybe even when we get to Muncie, but I'm confident it's fixed properly.
One last thanks to all the guys who helped me get ready. Thanks to Jeff "Unbalanced" Walker and Chris "CSpaced" Mulcahy for re-building my crashed plane in under a week with zero help from me, as well as all their other support. Thanks to Gerhard and my dad for helping me get this engine repaired in record time. I can't name everyone here, but I appreciate everyone else who has helped or even just offerred help or to lend me equipment.
Well this is RJ signing off. Till after XFC, later everyone!
