Hi Tom, Thats new info... i thought the 2.3 Ghz was very good if loot sof carbon fibre... Think heli with carbon is working good with 2.4 GhZ?? Anyone else know anything about that? Now with Antenna straight up there is no problem with 35Mhz radio..... If antenna is inside fuselage, radio is dead. hehe /Rikard |

Check out this site. They have been producing warbirds out of carbon fiber for years. They or the people that fly them are sure to be able to answer radio questions. ![]() Woops forgot the link http://www.aerotechmodels.com/ Last edited by Cobra1; 06-22-2007 at 11:25 AM. Reason: forgot link |

Rikard, From what I learned at Joe Nall talking with the manufactures, antenna "orientation" is very important to the 2.4 Ghz radios. QQ was using the small satilite recievers in addition to the main RX, he had one standing up into the canopy area, and he had others in differant locations in the fuse. I taked him about that and he told me that the antenna must not be shielded by such things as the engine or CF bulk heads, etc. These postage stamp size satilite RX have thier own antennas and just plug into the main RX.
