Help! Dual Rx Setup Schematic

Hey Guys,

What are your opinions on this setup for a TOC Extreme/SD Yak 33% with DA-85? I notated a diagram found in "Gas Engines and Giant Planes" 3rd Edition by Don and Judy Apostolico, so thanks to them.

This would eliminate a kill switch, batt share, power distribution product, so please mention if you work for or support Smart Fly products.

Corrections: Ignition batt is dedicated; will NOT be on choke Y. Also, no smoke pump planned for now.

Looks alright. I run the smoke on a separate channel instead of a Y and have it set to a separate switch though.

I have a Smartf Fly Power Expander Pro on my Comp Arf Extra 260. I like it alot. On my 33% airplanes though, only one receiver. If you feel the need to use two, the schematic will work okay.

if you add a simple power jumper from an open channel on one Rx to the other Rx, then if one batt/reg/switch dies.. that side will get power from the good battery side and you won't have half a dead plane.

what do you want all that stuff in a 33% anyway?for a plane that size put two bats to two switches to one receiver and fly the heck out of it.just a thought.and be sure you run the ignition off a separate battery than your radio ,it looks like you have the ignition tied to the right receiver setup

Oh Yeah... I think that all that stuff in a 85 inch plane is prolly extra effort... Two batts/Regs is OK... total of 4000 mah combined likely enuff...
