2 8411's on the ailerons? I'd think if you're going with only 2 servos on a 40% you'd want at least 8611's, right? Most guys have 3 8611's... and is that 2 8411's per half or one on each half? Just wanna make sure you've got enough torque...

and OH YEAH! CANS BABY! It's Triple Tree legal!!

Ditto, use at least 3 8411's or 2 8611's per ailerons. Trust me you will need the torque. The best setup would most likely be 3 8611's or 5955(no gear slop)
Good luck with the build and most of all have fun.
PS. Defiantly go with Cans, gots to be legal. Try the mtw's or pefa.

Run two 8611's or two 5955's and don't worry about it.

Dude. The ignition has no need for a 5400.
I flew 12 flights on my 2400 on the DA ignition and still had around 7.4 V.

And the 2 5400's on r4ec should rule. I got 12 flights on my H9 260 with teh same servos I'll have in my 40% extra and I still had plenty for a few more flights!

Congrats.
Is this the kit from Sandusky?
If so.. thats great. Tom is a nice dude.

Ok Change o' plans:
2700 fromeco on ign. with reg.
Not sure for ailerons now I might just buy 8611A's
Are the two on each Ele. good enough though?
Carl are the pefa's rear exhause or front.

RJ. Im not running bottles.. (open pop bottle)

Ok for some pics. I just did the lower cheeks and foam hatch. Im trying to get the foams as done as I can to minimize the work that i will have to do to them after the fuse is on the table because my table isnt very wide.

Sleep, No this isnt toms. It can from a good friend of mine. PM me. This is also the 300 midwing not the 330.

Jon-

I have this plane- you will love it.

I agree that you want at least two 8611's on each aileron- two 8411's will work but you might get some blowback.

I have two 8611's (not 8611a's) on the rudder, both in the tail (not pull-pull). Rudder authority is very strong- easy knife edge loops.

This plane does not come out tailheavy. With the DA and cannisters you'll want the rudder servos in the tail.

"Standard" lightening mods (lightening in the motor box area) and with the supplied tube and gear should give you a 37-38lb plane.

Thanks for the input Dave, I figure that the lightening in the MB will offset the cans and not effect the CG much. Plus the metal spinner, and everything else spread out across the CG up front the two std. servos in the tail will bring it to an easily tunable CG if not perfect.
Jon

P.S. See you at Doc's this weekend.

Jon,

Looks like you are on the right track. Starting with the small foam parts will get you fimilar with the process when it comes to the bigger parts.

Just be patient with the process. You don't have to finish the plane by next weened.

Good Job.
