Default Need a throw/incidence meter...

Help...looking for a good throw meter....

I have the H9 Angle pro... but it died... fresh battery and it just jumps all over the place....

I don't use a meter much but when I do I want it to work.....

What is considered one of the best throw meters...

must have extreme rates AND be useable on 40%er.....

I don't want to break the bank, but am willing to pay for QUALITY!!

Thoughts?

HD pro makes some good ones, but you really need to buy 2 so that you can match them a little easier.

Aeroworks sells a more econimical version. Paying $65.00(for two) for something you will use only a few times doesnt make sense to me???

It may be a little more than you want to spend, but I think once you have the Aero Perfect you will not look back. There are just so many things you can do with it that are not easily done with a conventional meter.

Only real limitation is your imagination and perhaps the size of the measuring head with a plate mounted to it. I use it to square drill tables to the press. Band saw tables to the blade to those surface cutouts are 90 degreed to the shuck. Even squaring tapered surfaces is easily accomplished.

I see that you may be trying to make the Frozen Toes Boot Camp. I am going to try as well. If you have not made a call by then on a meter, give me a shout. I will bring mine down for you to tinker with that weekend.

Here's a unique way to make one, courtesy of CapCanuck here on FG, also known as LEE on RCCanada.

Here's the link.
